Over 800 ROCOR Studies Posts Now Available for Free
Access to the ROCOR Studies Patreon Archive
January 20, 2026
Dear Reader,
From 2017 until 2024, I used Patreon as a platform to share my work in church history and canon law, alongside reflections on academic life, conferences, archival discoveries, and travel connected with my research and teaching. Over these years, this work grew into a substantial archive of more than 800 posts devoted to the history of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, Byzantine canon law, and the lived experience of church scholarship.
In 2024, I moved to Substack. As part of this transition, I decided not to place my earlier Patreon material behind a paywall. Instead, I have made the entire archive freely accessible to anyone who registers on Patreon, without any payment or subscription requirement.
All of this material is now available at
https://www.patreon.com/c/rocorstudies
To explore the archive, simply register on Patreon, visit the ROCOR Studies page, and click on “Collections.” The posts are organized thematically, making it easier to navigate topics such as Russian Church Abroad history, canon law, Byzantie history and more.
I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity and explore the collections at your own pace. My hope is that making this material freely available will allow it to continue serving students, clergy, scholars, and readers interested in the life of the Church.
With gratitude for your interest and support,
Protodeacon Andrei Psarev

Das ist erfreulich. Archive sind immer Schatzkammer der Kirche oder einer anderen Institution, deren Schätze man noch erheben muss.
